  • The Telecaster family went through an expansion in 1972 with the introduction of a new version of the Thinline, originally launched in 1969. This version of the Telecaster featured a semi-hollow ash body with a distinctive single f hole. To compete with other famous electrics that feature humbucking pickups, Fender introduced their own version of the humbucker resulting in the Wide Range Humbucker, designed by Seth Lover. The Wide Range Humbucker produces a bright, unique sound with power to spare. The Fender '72 Telecaster Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar captures all the essentials that made this such a unique instrument 40+ years ago.
